Movies!!!

Hello there fellow bloggers..
For some time I thought that I should let this blog die in the many fine ways of dieing..
But, then I realised.. ugpp.wordpress.com needs to be.. Serious!
Therefor things like these can’t be posted on ugpp.

I went to the cinema this weekend, and I watched two completely different movies..
The third swedish movie in Stieg Larsson trilogy named, The girl who blew up the air castle… (Directly translated)
The movie was REALLY great! One of the best movie I’ve watched in a LONG time..
The story might not be the best, but the way it was filmed, the way it was told, and the acting, and everything.. Let’s just say that my heart was in my throat throughout a large part of the movie..

The other movie; The Final Destination 3D, this movie is a fine example in that real-life movies in 3D will work great.
Though the movie had some technical issues, it was good entertainment, and I really felt that things came out of the screen, and it’s the first movie that ever made this impression on me.
Good camera work, and good entertainment.

This makes me realise that 3D is the new way that movie magic will come to.
And it’s just being integrated in computergames aswell.

First, I just wanna say that I’m really tired right now, but I’m alive :3
Let’s see, computer technology…
It’s really funny to see that yesterdays tech, (I really mean the tech developed a year or two ago) get’s outdated as fast as a car going 80km/h and hitting a moose..
It really get’s things flying..
Not so long ago we had Windows 3.0 with really crappy 2D gfx, and I still remember an old box I got from my parents when I was about 9 years old..

Though I can’t remember what the game is called, it was awesome..
A few years later, we got Windows 98, and then a whole new world came alive for me, 3D gaming.. 3D shooters, and the technology drastically improved, we now had to buy dedicated graphics card, and I remember that our win 98 machine had the top of the line graphic solution.

Some year went by, and Windows XP came by, and with this I bought my own computer.
It was an awesome computer! AMD Sempron 3000+ with two gigs ram, and 160 gig hard drive, with an integrated graphic solution! It really kicked ass!
Soldier of Fortune was the game everyone talked about, and my computer could handle it like a knife cuts through butter!
Then Technology moved forward, and so did everyone else…

Giving Dual-core processors, more RAM pr computer, and better, and better dedicated graphic solutions.
I was still living in the 2003, early 2004 with my integrated graphic solution, my 230W Power supply, and single-core CPU.
Time passed and I realised.. I need a dedicated Graphic card, as I couldn’t run games I wanted.. need for speed Underground and such..

So, early 2005 I decided that I was gonna jump the train, and get a nVidia GeForce 6600 GT.
It was totally Awesome.. Really kicking ass into the new year!
A whole new world opened up in terms of gaming.
I could play games! I could play really good games aswell!
But my happiness didn’t last long seeing as hardware still kept on going further into realism and soon physics..

Stuff began to evolve further and I couldn’t do anything else then to follow the hype, and in 2007 I bought the ATI Radeon X1950PRO..
Again stuff really kicked ass, and I was starting to get really impressed by the amount of quality I could pull out of it..
At this time, Dual-core processors was already a reality in many newer computers, and it really gave people advantage in terms of performance and in general ass-kicking.

So I bought AMD athlon 64 X2 6400+, and it really gave me more advantage in terms of everything..
Things ran faster, smoother, and better. I could suddenly start watching what they called.. HD.. Wow, this was a really scary word!
Nowadays HD is standard, If you don’t own a computer screen with 1920×1200 pixels, you’re a newb.. That’s what technology slaps in your face as time moves on.

Right now DirectX 11 kicked in, as games like Colin McRea DiRT2 is about to launch, eventually games, and technology will keep on moving forward, and most possibly stop at photorealism.
But then again, if they don’t stop, but just keeps on moving forward. What will the next step be?
What will happen to photorealism?
How will this affect us as human beings..

The worst case scenario that I can think of is not being able to define what’s real, and what’s simulated in computer technology..
I hope the world somehow explodes before that happens.

Holy cow! I got views! though.. I’m like seven months late, I took a quick overview at my blog stats! and april was the month where I got over 100 views! D:
anyway, I will most likely try to update this blog from now on, seeing as some people might like my gibberish :3

Right now I’m waiting for the clock to tick towards 12 am so that I can go and grab myself something to eat, untill then I’m getting a bit board.. Nothing is going on, but still time flies for some wierd reason.
And I can conclude that my problems at home with my freshly installed Windows 7 isn’t actually slowing the day down either..
After work Elixia awaits me to sweat, and suffer like hell, but that’s all fine.

I’m also working on a drawing, and it looks like the progress is going a bit slow, but that’s all fun
Anyway, here’s an WIP image :3

Well then, I have decided to start blogging again,

As of now I’m in a security company called G4S, it SHOULD be known world-wide but whatever
It’s a really fun job as I meet new people everyday, and talk to people who comes from overseas to visit our small country just to be here a couple of hours, then flies back to their home country, or where-ever they’re working.

Being a security officer you also get a small feeling of a bit more authority then you generally have, a small taste of some sweet power and trust.
You get responsibility for the whole company you (G4s) are having as a client.
I’m in the front-desk receiving visitors, mail, notes, and in general having a fun time

I also got myself an apartment, Well not really an apartment, but something that fits pretty nicely for my kinda style, I have Internet, cable TV, microwave, and refrigerator what I need to survive

Okay, Well.. I haven’t been in the mood for blogging, really..
Yesterday I was on Free Comic Book Day, and it was awesome ^^
It’s starting to become this rather large (small) anime/manga convention arranged by the store Outland.
I cosplayed as Peter Pan, and it was really fun ^^
My GF cosplayed as Tinkerbell (or whatever her name).
Pictures will come..

The last weeks, I’ve been exercising Parkour and muscle, and wow, it’s fun to be able to do it proper again ^^
I’ve been searching for different jobs but no luck, and I’ve played through F.E.A.R., and F.E.A.R. 2 in the total of four night..
Aka, four nights of horror

Went to the cinema the other day.. Actually two days ago, Friday, and watched Hannah Montana the movie, and I recommend it ^^
It was GREAT fun, and worth every penny (or.. No we don’t use pennies in Norway.. but.. yeah)
Even though it’s appealing to an audience that’s a couple of years younger then me, it had it’s moments where I laughed loud

Other then that I haven’t done much.. So..
I’ll try to keep you updated with my life with a three day gap.. But.. I don’t know..

Let’s do a resume in what have happened the last couple of days..
Starting.. with.. Friday..
When Friday was Friday it was AWESOME!!
GOD I couldn’t ask for a more awesome night..

But then again we have the consequences..
Which made me feel so bad that it hurt inside me, and..
Down in my guts..
I will not go out in detail in what happened..
But I can tell you this.. Someone got hurt mentally..
Misconceptions, and stupidity is basically the outcome of that night..

anyway.. I’ve watched two movies this weekend,
Dead snow (Død Snø) and Cold Pray 2 (Fritt vilt 2)

Dead snow – Norway’s response to a zombie movie gone mad!
And they did a really good job ^^
Story based it wasn’t that great, but it goes into my b-horror
category and takes a place among my top ten favorites.
The effects was good, the gore was great
And the acting was good ^^
Good job Norway

Cold Pray 2 – snatched the story where the first ended..
This one was over-hyped a bit, in my eyes..
As a movie it was good, a good level of gore, and scares..
Maybe a bit to much with the scares as the movie want you to
jump every five minutes..
But when it comes to story, acting, and in general being a movie
they did a great job ^^
The cinematography was.. Wow..
Everything was as good as it could be with beautiful angles,
and everything.

What else have I been doing.. Not much..
Hung out with my girlfriend, and just chilled..
Yesterday I exercised and just chilled..
And, my shoulder is starting to feel good again ^^
Hurray!

Today I drew a drawing, and put together a list over different
radio channels.. Finding the streams for them was
sometimes a pain in the ass.
I tried to find the streams for NRJ.. and.. GOD!
NOWHERE to be found..
After looking through their source code about ten times,
and doing research, I gave up.. I probably spent an hour
trying to find.. Something.. But no..

Well then..
That’s all for now..

So.. What have I done today?
I’ve been exercising, hanging out with a budd of mine,
which ended up me fucking up my sore tendon in my foot..
What did I do?
Look here :-/

Anyway.. After this, we went back to his place,
and I got reminded in how I LOVE GTA IV..
So I’m gonna play it soon
There is just something about that game which I love..
I’ve allways liked GTA for some reason, but I’m not gonna
blabber about this now

Before I left downtown Stavanger, I paid a visit to one of
my few best friends Oli. And man it was good seeing him again ^^
He got a new haircut, and my opinion is that his haircut suits him
very well.
I love that budd

Later on, I went back to my place and helped my dad out with
a building project he has going on in our yard..
He is building a turning space.. (for cars)
And it’s really comming along nicely.

yeah.. That’s all I gotta say

Okay.. So.. It’s time for an update..
What’s happened, and what’s gonna happen..
With me loosing my job and stuff.. It really got to me..
And when I find myself a new one, I am willing to
prostitute myself to it, making everything to keep it.

I loved my last job.. It was really fun, and the atmosphere..
FUN

So, I went out to about 10-15 different places and
asked for a job.
And guess what.. *BANG* NOTHING!..
Seems like Stavanger isn’t the best place to fuck things up in..
Anyway.. I have untill June to find a suited place.

Last week was.. out of place.. I’ve not been doing much..
Sleeping, exercising, and hanging out with my GF..
Oh.. There was this internetforum gathering last weekend.
It was fun
This week will be better.. As there is some things coming up.

Yesterday. Seventh of April was my 20′th birthday.. It’s strange..
I’m 20.. Half way to 40… Yay.. -_-
But.. This opens up a whole world of facilities
… spirits, Fun
No.. I’m not an alcoholic.. I just like the thought.

Tomorrow, I am helping my dad out in the garden,
he’s digging, and making a parking lot for friends, and stuff..

Friday. Wow.. I’m really looking forward to Friday, Yeah Oli,
It’s gonna be FUN, with capital letters, and a BIG f***ing F.
This is just to celebrate my birthday, and I’m looking forward to it ^^

Oh yeah.. I can’t forget.. I’ve got a new nickname.. Daddy D

Hokay.. So, I’ve watched the movie, and it was really good..
Mostly.
It’s a B-horror movie with nazi poltergeists
What more can you wish for?
Nazi poltergeist: Check
Blood and disturbing pictures: Check
Scary theme: Check
And.. British guy in charge: Check

Seem to me like the list is full, anyway..
Check it out if you want a decent horror film

So, what have I been doing lately?
Not much.. I mean..
Getting fired from work didn’t exactly do things better
Don’t get me wrong.. It was my own fault..
So, I’ve been trying to look for a new job..
But, at this time of the year it looks dark..
It will get better towards the summer tho

At the same time, I hurt my shoulder a couple of weeks ago.
The doctor said: Oh.. You just sprained it.. It’ll be fine..
Well.. No.. Not after six weeks.. -_-
Other then that, I’ve been with my girlfriend, playing video-games,
helping my dad.. And.. Yeah.. That’s about it..

Oh.. One last thing..

I’ve been designing posters for the place I got fired from
and, I’m gonna design something for a DJ this week

Well.. I don’t know what I am doing..
